Rooted in the Rodeo

This piece celebrates chuckwagon racer Chanse Vigen, whose story I find deeply inspiring. Born and raised in the rodeo community, he demonstrates immense dedication both to his sport and to the animals in his care. Beyond his achievements in competition, he also runs a charity that supports individuals in need, reflecting his strong commitment to giving back. I had the privilege of witnessing him win his first first-place title at the Calgary Stampede, an experience that made this painting especially meaningful to create.
